Hello.
After installing SIMS to a squadron laptop, and creating a new meeting date, when I open that new meeeting date and try to sign-in, the system returns a message stating that I am already signed-in!
Was using SIMS for a couple of weeks, and when I went back to view the attendees, nothing appeared, although I watched them sign in successfully.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Are you talking about the Sign-in module...like SIMS_Attendance_Testing_Admin.mdb?

Well, the only way I know how to use this SIMS resource for squadron members sign-in and sign out is to create a new meeting in squadron administration using sims.mdb -> then to open sign-in module via either single or multi-testing db.
Is this not correct? This is how it was demonstrated and taught to me. |

| Just having played around with this briefly (I haven't used it before today), it seems that somehow, you're already in the sign-in module's table. Unless it's absolutely critical that you delete your entry from the attendance module's table, I would just use the Admin module to update SIMS attendance, then go into SIMS and uncheck yourself from the meeting. If you didn't update SIMS attendance, that's probably why no one is showing up in SIMS for the meeting. |

After members sign-in via the Sign-in module you have to go into the SIMS_Attendance_Testing_Admin.mdb to update SIMS.
That said. It sounds like you have an older version of the Attendance and Testing Module. Go to http://cid-68346388060ddd7d.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/CAP%5E_SIMS/Attendance%20%5E0%20Testing%20Module and download the newest front-end.
The SIMS_Attendance_Testing_Admin.mdb contains both the Single and Multi-test module so you don't have to go in and out of different mdb's.

Ok, great information.
Hey does anybody have, or know of a good training document or video of the SIMS stuff for future reference?
Let me try this frontend upgrade and see what happens.
Again thanks all. |

Hey this was indeed GREAT information. I now have modules I did not previously have. Great tools here.
However, after setting up and using for squadron sign-in, each week the commander wants a printed copy of users signed in. So I went to the admin module, click on the "update attendance in SIMS" and nothing happens. Shows the signed-IN squadron members, but does not sign them out. Is this not what this button is for?

Again, if you are refering to the Attendance and Testing module then the "Update Attendance in SIMS" button is used to update attendance in SIMS.
Each member is supposed to sign themselves out.
You can get a report of current meeting attendance by clicking on the "Member Attendance" button under the heading "Current Meeting Reports". That only works until you create a new meeting in SIMS. After you create a new meeting in SIMS then you have to click the same button under the Heading "Historical Meeting Reports". |

Ah!
So what you are saying is this updates the "SIMS" database itself.
Thanks. May I ask? Do you know of a "quick way" for me to sign everyone out of the day that has not signed out? |

Yes. It updates SIMS. It doesn't update test scores yet but it updates attendance, Moral Leadership, Safety, etc. Depending on the checkboxes you select when setting-up the meeting.
There is no quick way to sign-out everyone. The only way is to go into the table and enter the date and time.
